Pulling out of Fort Yargo State Park last night
the highway going west was exploding with incredible sunset light.
Enthralled, I turned that way instead of east towards my hotel.
Rolling towards the crest of the hill, I was awash with anticipation for what may lay beyond.
And there was- a whole lot more road.
And isn't that just the way it always is?

I'm speechless. You were on the road bike?
No! In the car. A white Monte Carlo to be specific, with a mtb in the trunk.
If you're still in north Georgia over the weekend and looking for some torture head to Dahlonega on Sunday for one of the hardest 100 miles you'll ever do- Six Gap Century. Look it up. Brutal. Oh, yeah, skinny tires are advised.
Sorry Dogboy, I didn't pack any pantyhose so I have to skip your little tea party.
