You wouldn't have had a good story if he'd had a chrome high rise stem and thus, handlebars. It's all about the story, isn't it?
Look at the photo, he's at least 5 inches off the ground.
I saw him fly across the line.
I was there. He didn't need any handlebars on that lap, because his bike never touched the quarry dirt.
